Cut&Paste presented GAMIFIED beta, a live onstage digital design battle featuring some of the top online game design studios in New York. In partnership with PointRoll, top-flight teams accepted the challenge to create original game designs based on an assigned concept. Audience members suggested and sketched their own ideas to be used by the teams in their designs and the winning team was be selected by audience applause. Each member of the winning team won a Wacom Intuos Pro Medium tablet courtesy of Wacom. This event was an exclusive invitation-only beta test of our new format.
In this competition, 3 teams of 2 designers were challenged to create and code a working prototype of a game interface. Competitors were given the theme "We Gotta Talk," just moments before the competition rounds started. The competition was made up of 2 rounds. In the first 10-minute round, the teams prepared interacted with the audience to design their game. In the final 20-minute round, each team completed their working game, including one word or sketch contributed by the audience to incorporate. After the final round, the audience interacted with the game and determined the winning design by show of applause.

A fifteen year veteran and host at as many clubs, parties, and neighborhoods as NYC has to offer, DJ RT has made a career from his versatility in sounds, music knowledge and technical prowess. RT devoted his energies to tirelessly keeping an ever-hungry crowd on their feet, spinning with NY legends including Cosmo Baker & Eli Escobar, touring the country with artist like Chromeo, and rocking special events for brands such as H& M. Currently RT is a resident with Jam Master Jay’s Scratch Music Group and can be enjoyed at Top of the Standard NY. This is his second event with Cut&Paste, after 2012’s NY World Championship.
